Bprd hell on earth vol 55/19/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() I look forward to the first omnibus volume. ![]() With the Hell On Earth story arc drawing to a close with this 5th volume, the story continues with the new arc The Devil You Know. I fully intend to collect all of these hard cover volumes and they would make for some great binge reading one day. All average, but with some amazing and dynamic artwork by James Harren in that final story. I highly recommend fans of Hellboy to check it out ( if you haven’t already ). This particular volume of BPRD: Hell on Earth series consists of 3 different stories, all focusing on different and lesser-known BPRD characters, following and unraveling events that tie up to the main story. All cool stuff.īPRD is really the only US comic series I’m following fairly closely these days, with a great storyline and fantastic art work. Just like previous volumes this book also includes a sizeable collection of concept art sketches, cover art and studies. This particular volume does not feature any art work done by one of my favorite comic artist James Harren, but it’s still in excellent hands with the beautiful work of Laurence Campbell, Peter Snejbjerg and the Argentinian artist Julian Totino Tedesco. This is the 5th ( and concluding ) hardcover volume from the Hell On Earth arc ( read my review for Vol 3 and Vol 4 ) and collects number 12-13 and 15 of the trade paperback volumes as well as a sketch book section. B.P.R.D ( Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense ) is the spin-off comic series from Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, taking place in the same expanded universe as the organization’s “enhanced” agents like Liz Sherman, Abe Sapien and Johann Krauss battle the Ogdru Jahad that first appeared in the Hellboy comics. ![]()
