Stuka pilot5/20/2023 Make sure you give yourself room to be able to pull out of the dive without making a crater. You want to try and dive on your target from behind if s alot easier to guess up and down rather then side to side.Īim ahead of where you want to impact.the Stuka has a bomb crutch that swings the bomb down before release in order to ensure that it doesn't strike the prop and you have to account for that.ĭon't get target fixation. Keep the plane straight at the target.ĭive brakes.pretty sure I don't need to mention that they need to be extended as soon as you start your dive. Any yaw will put your bombs off target laterally. When you push over, you need your dive angle to be not less then 70 degrees.preferably around 85 to vertical.Ĭheck your instruments in the dive.particularly the yaw indicator. Get up to altitude-you need time to get lined up on the target, more altitude means more time to do that. I used to be pretty good at dive bombing in IL-2 (yes its a different game, but the principles are the same), so hopefully how I divebombed will help you.
